The Flash is a movie that has been in the works since the 1980s and is based on a popular comic book story called Flashpoint, which includes many characters from DC Comics.
In the film, Barry Allen, played by Ezra Miller, helps Batman, portrayed by Ben Affleck, stop a bank robbery. After that, he goes back to his childhood home and remembers his parents, Nora and Henry. His mother was murdered, and his father was wrongly accused and sent to prison for it. Overwhelmed with emotions, Barry decides to travel back in time to save his mother from being killed. However, this creates new problems. He ends up in a different timeline and meets a younger version of himself.
In this new timeline, General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, arrives on Earth and starts changing the planet for his own purposes. Unfortunately, there is no Superman to stop him. Barry seeks help from this timeline’s Batman, played by Michael Keaton. Batman tells him about a superhero who is being held captive in Siberia. When they go to rescue this hero, they find out it’s not Superman but his cousin, Kara Zor-El, played by Sasha Calle. Kara has powers similar to Superman but is initially reluctant to help humanity. Eventually, she agrees to join them. Barry realizes that messing with time was a mistake and he needs to fix the problems he created. The movie revolves around whether he can set things right or if he makes everything worse.
